John Oates as we all know from one of the most successful duos of all time Hall & Oates showcased his new solo album at the Troubador in West Hollywood this past Saturday night. Performing at the sold out show, John was joined by his fantastic band ‘The Good Road Band’ who play on his seventh studio album ‘Arkansas’ just released on February 2nd. The album full of feel good songs that pay tribute to America’s musical roots -will get you up and moving as well as some more mellow acoustic-type songs, which all add up to being a definite must for true music lovers. Mixed with a little bit of rhythm and blues, country, bluegrass and rock, ‘Arkansas’ is a great collection of songs that highlight John’s melodic voice as well as his (always incredible) guitar playing.

The show which lasted almost two hours sounded larger than life at the Troubador, the legendary venue which has housed such other artists as Eric Clapton, Carole King, James Taylor and many other big acts over the years. In a recent interview, John explains how this series of shows are more of a mini tour to promote ‘Arkansas’ and to let audiences hear the fantastic musicianship of The Good Road Band and what they have been working on. Thankfully, John and The Good Road Band, will be happy to know that everybody at the Troubador was blown away by how incredible the concert was and cannot wait for them to return again!

Next up, fans will be pleased to know that Hall & Oates will join Train for a big tour beginning in May, which you won’t want to miss -tickets are available now.

‘Arkansas’ is also available now on itunes:
