Filippo Duelk is a German-born actor who has established a successful acting career and calls Los Angeles home. Raised in the Dominican Republic, Filippo had a passion for sports and acting. After leaving the University of Heidelberg and HdW Mannheim, Germany, Filippo moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the two-year intensive program at Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre.
On the stage, Filippo performed in the stage plays, ‘Still Life’, directed by Rick Peters, ‘Arcadia’ directed by Christopher Thornton, and ‘Romeo and Juliet’, directed by Alex Aves. Filippo’s interest in the craft of acting has evolved to producing, writing and directing. His latest project is the short film, ‘Hugrakkur(Brave)’. It has earned several film festival selections and and was awarded Best Martial Arts Sequence at the Action OnFilm Festival at Las Vegas in 2017.
Filippo’s credits include an international Red Lobster/Facebook Commercial co-starring Tyrese Gibson of 2 Fast 2 Furious fame. The role was Fillipo’s first acting job. Filippo is featured in the music video for the band AJR. The video directed by Ron Peters is nominated for the VMAS Best Music Video.
Filippo Duelk will be seen next in his performance as the lead in the film ‘The Better Painter’. Filippo plays the role of the alter ego of a young troubled painter in Los Angeles.
