It was 58 years ago today, that the world was first introduced to the greatness that was Michael Joseph Jackson. Born on this day of August 29th in 1958, we first saw Michael and the Jackson 5 perform the incredible music that would live on forever, not to forget, some amazing dance routines and choreography. Michael Jackson was a huge influence on so many people and different nationalities around the world, who could identify with his music or a particular song at some time in their lives, good or bad. Michael’s music was feel good music. He was a pure genius with his artistry in everything he did and his almost magician like dance moves, including the moonwalk that he first introduced to the viewers in 1983 on the Motown 25 special. To this day, Michael’s talent continues to be felt by generations to come and often kids as small as 2 years old are becoming mesmerized by his moves and know every word to his songs.
There will never be another Michael Jackson and it is truly sad that we lost not only an incredible artist and performer, but an amazing human being. All those that have worked with him in the past are forever thankful for the opportunity Michael gave them in their careers and fans are just as grateful for anything and everything to do with their King and what he stood for. Although, he is not here with us today, he will always be remembered with fond memories and love from those who knew the real Michael Jackson and those who knew his heart. He touched so many peoples lives with not only his music but his incredible contributions to charity over the years and his passionate attitude towards life and compassion for those around him. Today at Forest Lawn in Glendale CA, where Michael was laid to rest in 2009, fans from all over the world, still found the time to pay their respects to a true legend and show how much he meant to each and every one of them. Celebrities were also paying tribute to the King of Pop, including Madonna, who also shared a sweet post on her instagram page (see above). His children Prince and Paris, also left a touching tribute to their dad and how much he meant to them as well. It is still hard to believe that Michael would have turned 58 years old today and 8 years after his death one thing we do know for sure, Michael Jackson will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.
