Karina Diglyte continues to illuminate the acting industry with her statuesque height, beautiful looks and acting expertise. But the question still remains, who exactly is the brains behind this beautiful and talented actress?
Sitting down with Karina made a favorable impression with her warm, subtle tone which made the conversation flow effortlessly. As talented as this actress is, she remains humble about her accomplishments and her goals to continue furthering her career and to consistently learn and grow.
The inspirations behind this actress were really admirable when asked. “I love Meg Ryan, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts… all of their films made an impact on me. I love European cinema, but American movies are my favorite. Shawshank redemption, Shindler’s list, to name a few.”This is less than surprising, considering the actress shows her influences from each of these actresses through her acting. Instead of encompassing one person, Karina Diglyte likes to encompass multiple people within her acting.
Karina Diglyte received her first big acting break in Zohra, which won a UK film council Race in Media award, by the BBC, the committee of racial equality and Kevin Spacey, also the women in film Tongues on fire award, and a special honorable award from Women in film, tongues on fire award.
Karina will also appear in BAFTA award winning director Simon Giles debut film, where she plays a lead critical role. She has also won rave reviews at Cannes underground film festival for her lead critical role in the film Fourever. Fourever was officially selected to premiere at the Raindance film festival,where it was nominated for a BIFA award. Karina will then be playing a role in “Being there”, produced by Bafta nominated and award winning Barry Navidi (Merchant of Venice) with the lead being played by Hollywood legend, Al Pacino. Featured in films such as Editor, The Flood and ILL Manors, the actress has continued to use her influences and coaching to create each character she portrays.
So what else is this actress up to now and does she have any other projects in the works?
“I have been cast in a few projects this year, I am about to shoot the British Thriller “Intoxicated”, which I developed out of a short film I did with Rishi Opel,” responded Karina delightfully, “I also starred in his commercially successful thriller “The Grind”. The, as mentioned before, I am filming a movie with Al Pacino in Los Angeles and a lead role in the feature film “Undercutt”, not to mention I am cast for a Hulu TV Series, which is going to be shot in Los Angeles this year as well.”
