With work ranging from the fashion world, editorial, freelancing, and weddings, photographer Ali Davarian (also known as Edris) is an artist and source of inspiration. Edris has used his lifetime accumulation of skill to professionally capture hundreds of professional models and countless freelance subjects. A source of pride to Edris, photography allows him to not only feel fulfilled himself, but watch as his subjects go on to form their own careers, follow their own passions, and make a name for themselves like only they can. A true master of the artform, Edris controls lighting, posing, and other modern equipment with alacrity and acumen.
In addition to pre-production, Edris also has the ability to manipulate the picture in post-production. Currently Edris works for various modeling agencies and is in charge of finding new models on a weekly basis, capturing their visage, and editing it to display their inner beauty and elegance. Although photography is Edris’s job, it’s more than just that: it’s a dream, a passion, a way of life. With the modern eye trained to see photographs on a daily basis it’s hard to really make someone sit and stare at a beautiful composition, but not for Edris. His work makes the medium seem facile, a layman’s passion, that is, of course, until one tries to reproduce a likeness as he does on a daily basis. Inspired first by fashion magazines, Edris now finds inspiration in the faces of new and eager models as they walk through his doors, inspired by what he sees in them and can do with them.
