A child prodigy from Perth, Australia, Presley Massara is edging closer to embrace stardom. Having been taught at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney, this 14-year-old male sensation is kicking the showbiz world with his polished performances both in film and live theatre. For that reason, Presley’s journey into the North American film world, and being cast as the main lead role in the movie adaption of the widely acclaimed “The Pineville Heist” didn’t come as a surprise. The movie, a Canadian production, is set for release in 2015.
Presley began his career at the age 5 when he played the lead role in the international television campaign for Browne’s Dairy’s Junior Milk product. He then went on to win several significant modeling and commercial appointments, including the ones from the Australian government and one of Western Australia’s largest retailers at the time, Betts.
The roles that he portrayed in the films “Driving Home” and “Game Play” in parallel to playing the male child lead in the stage production “The Sound of Music” clearly demonstrated Presley’s ability to blend into any character he plays. Recently, he was chosen to represent Australia at the Australian Performing Arts Network (APAN) USA Broadway tour. As the part of the tour, his performance of “I am Adalpho” from the musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone was received in an extremely enthusiastic way.
And what’s more, the kid already has his own clothing line, Mossa Mod, which can be checked out at www.mossamod.com.au. Currently traveling between Perth and Los Angeles, Presley is already on a mission to fulfill his dream of receiving the Academy Award for best actor in a lead role. This mightn’t be too far away for this talented kid from down under!
