Samantha Doran is an Australian actress, who always had a passion for acting. She was always interested in performing arts, and was heavily involved in both school and local theatre company productions.
She started her studies at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. It was here she began her training in performing arts. After what she thought was a fruitless submission to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, the prestigious institution offered her a place in 2009. Samantha had the fortune to train under the guidance of respected teachers, such as Pete Mattaliano, Todd Susman and Ray Iannicelli. Since then, she has attended various acting schools, including the Lee Strasberg Institute in LA and Anthony Meindl’s Actors workshop.
In 2013, Samantha left Australia to move to Vancouver. It was here she landed a role in the pilot called ‘Tide Waters’, Dir. Terrence Winkless. The post-apocalyptic Canadian drama is set to start filming in spring.
Samantha has been involved in many award winning films and web series. Her film, ‘The Wolf’ was the winner of the ‘Southern Exposure Short Film festival’ in 2012. The Australian beauty was also lucky enough to be a part of the award winning web series ‘Who Killed Jessica Lane’, the show took home Best Ensemble at the ‘LA WEBSERIES Festival 2013’.
Samantha is well known in the film industry for her roles in, Tender Comrade (2010), Dark Angels (2011). All of these movies marked the peak of her acting career and this helped this young lady to live the dreams that she once saw as a child.
