Between her modeling work, directing duties, acting in various shows and commercials, as well as writing screenplays Lillie Claire has little time to sit down and chat. However, I had a chance to speak with her and was pleasantly surprised at what she had to say. First off, she will be starring in a Lanford Wilson play called Talley’s Folly. The play is a 97 minute single act masterpiece that tells the story of two young lovers who have decided to settle their feelings for one another once and for all. In the role of Sally Talley, Lillie will be able to show a comedic and dramatic side that few actresses are able to pull off.
Additionally, Lillie is also working on a TV series entitled Grant Me Serenity. The show tells the stories of two friends whose past has dealt them a dramatic blow. Each one deals with the event in their own way, with one ultimately becoming a yoga instructor and the other a party girl escort. Despite having heavy elements, it is less a drama and more of a dark comedy in the vein of Death to Smoochy or Dr. Strangelove. It will offer a rare glimpse into the quirky world of female sexual fantasies and the ways we as humans cope with tragedy. Of course, it is being down with the typical Lillie Claire touch that she brings to all her work. I for one can’t wait to see this show and I know it will be as well received as her previous work.
