Caitlin Ashley Thompson is one of the best talents that we have seen, hailing from Australia. She is not only talented, but beautiful and committed as well. This is what makes her a complete package that can fit into a variety of roles and can do justice to her character. Caitlin stated acting at the age of eleven. A childhood passion soon converted to a career. She had made a move to Perth from the North Western Territory of Australia when she was only 10 years of age. The dream of becoming an actor was what drove her moves. She started working with the local drama schools where she started to learn acting and also cultivated a deeper understanding of the art.
It was after than that Caitlin was sure about her career choices. She moved to the Howard Fine Master Classes and attended them in Melbourne and Sydney. She has been one of the youngest actors to have ever been invited for an induction to the Foundation Course with Laura Gardner in these institutes, for Caitlin it was another affirmance that acting is what she was made for. At the age of 16, she moved to Melbourne and started taking her acting very seriously.
She can sing, dance, swim, sky and even bungy jump! Caitlin is currently associated with Active Artist Management. Her most notable works to date have been ‘Cloud Street’ and ‘Mine’. Both these Australian theater productions utilized her acting potentials to the fullest and gave her a chance to portray a wide array of emotions. Her short films have also been appreciated a lot. She played a human trafficking victim in ‘Blindspot’ and played a very challenging role of a serial killer for ‘Darkness’. The film Blindspot even received a special mention at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.
Caitlin finds her inspiration in Meryl Streep, Rachel McAdams, Jennifer Lawrence and Mia Wasikowska. Some of her other notable works include films like ‘Thurlow’, ‘The Rosewood Gladiator’, ‘Workaholic’, ‘Pink’ and ‘Fifteen’. She also appeared in ‘Lover’s Sunset’ in 2012 and worked as a presenter for ‘The Wow Factor Modeling Competition’. She has also worked extensively for theater. Her works include ‘The Tempest’, ‘Speak’, ‘Restoration Theatre’ and ‘The Torrents’. With these projects and great experience she has gathered, she must definitely aim for the stars.
