Danielle Anderson is no stranger to the spotlight. When she was just three years old, she began figure skating, and won countless gold medals in major competitions until she was 18. She changed course and became a hair designer, and worked for three years giving others the style they wanted. But the spotlight was calling, and Danielle decided to give pageants a try. She entered the Miss Calgary pageant, and then went on to train for Miss Universe in her native Canada. The pageant circuit lead her to professional modeling, and finally to her true calling – acting.
Her first roles found Danielle playing dramatic characters on stage. But she quickly realized that her sense of humor and impeccable timing set her apart as a leading comedic actress. She started working with the sketch group Icelandic Poniez, whose films are popular regulars on Funny or Die (funnyordie.com). She is also a member of the sketch comedy group affectionately named F– U- Adam Carolla. She attracted the attention of director Jarek King who cast her in a central role in his film Hung Up!, starring Parker Seaman. Her good looks also landed her the quintessential “mean girl” role as Regina George in a stage production of the hit film Mean Girls at the Matrix Theater in Hollywood. Danielle has also been cast in the lead role of Janelle Jacobson, the head cheerleader, star athlete and all-around leader of the “popular girls”, who torment a group of high school underdogs in the upcoming TV & web series Diary of a Teenage Nobody, which is in negotiations with several major television networks, as well as Hulu and a new Facebook channel for online distribution.
She is in high demand and stays busy, most recently starring in a music video for the band High Valley. With all these great roles under her belt there are only good things to come in the years ahead for Danielle Anderson. Keep your eyes open for this gorgeous dynamo, though she will be hard to miss!
