LOS ANGELES (April 25, 2012) – GRAMMY®-winning musician and street artist Chris Brown and legendary artist Ron English, along with noted sculpture manufacturers Garageworks Industries and leading production house in the vinyl toy industry Made by Monsters, have teamed up to offer a very exclusive line of collectible Toys and one-of-a-kind art sculptures launching in Los Angeles on May 2. Dum English may continue into other product extensions based on the success, i.e. Sneakers, etc.

Limited-edition toys – first launch is only 1000 pieces – art exhibit will showcase Chris’ street art for the first time at the Corey Helford Gallery on May 2 – proceeds of sales will go to Symphonic Love.  Ron’s work will also be on display as well as a montage of the behind-the-scenes creative process of making of the brand, sketches and molds. Chris Brown and Ron will also paint together on a life-size Dum English astronaut sculpture in front of guests.

“Hands down right now my guy is Ron English. Ron has to be the more creative, ‘out there’ artist I see. His work is so precise but at the same time so unorthodox. I think it’s incredible to be able to see him do what he does and be a fan,” says Chris Brown.

“Chris is one of the sweetest, most talented people I’ve ever met. Working with Chris is like being a kid in a candy store,” explains Ron English.  “The ideas we come with are fun and colorful, young and daring.”

This year, Chris Brown won a GRAMMY for “Best R&B Album” for 2011’s F.A.M.E.  Brown’s most recent release F.A.M.E debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 making it his first #1 album and spawned three consecutive #1 singles. Brown will next release his fifth studio album Fortune on July 3, 2012.

In addition to his successful music career, the Virginia native is also an emerging movie star (including leading roles in 2007’s This Christmas and 2010’s Takers). He can be seen in Think Like A Man and recently shot Planet B-Boy, both for Screen Gems.  In addition Brown owns the successful MechanicalDummy.com blog site.  An avid artist himself, Brown wants the lifestyle site to serve as a platform for artists who aspire to excel in the technological, cultural, style and branding realms.

As Brown works to help the next generation of artists, he also gives back to those less fortunate.  He’s been affiliated with Best Buddies, an organization that helps people with intellectual disabilities along with developing his own Symphonic Love foundation, which aims to provide support and funding for arts programs dedicated to women and the artistic development of children.

Ron English, one of the most prolific and recognizable artists alive today, Ron English has bombed the global landscape with unforgettable images, on the street, in museums, in movies, books and television. English coined the term POPaganda to describe his signature mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history, populated with his vast and constantly growing arsenal of original characters, including MC Supersized, the obese fast-food mascot featured in the hit movie “Supersize Me,” and Abraham Obama, the fusion of America’s 16th and 44th Presidents, an image widely discussed in the media as directly impacting the 2008 election.

Other characters carousing through English’s art, in paintings, billboards, and sculpture include three-eyed rabbits, utterly delicious cowgirls and grinning skulls, blending stunning visuals with the bitingly humorous undertones of America’s Premier Pop Iconoclast.
